How to Start a Live Room Episode

When you create a Live Room event by adding timeslots, each event automatically generates a video link, which is shared with audiences who book the event.

About Live Room Events

Attractr uses Whereby, a browser-based video meeting tool that offers high-quality, secure, and easy-to-use video conferencing. Each Live Room event can currently host up to 100 participants.

What You Need Before Starting:

Unlike platforms like YouTube or Twitch, which require studio setups, high-end cameras, and complex audio/visual equipment, Attractr focuses on community building through simple online live video liveRooms. To start, all you need is:

  • A reliable Wi-Fi connection
  • A mobile/tablet device or desktop that has built-in camera

Of course, optimizing your setup for better video quality is helpful as your community grows, but it's not necessary when you're starting out.

Changing Video or Audio Input Source (Desktop Only):

  • If you prefer to change your video or audio input on a desktop:
  • Go to Settings.
  • Navigate to Devices > Camera or Audio.
  • From the drop-down list, select your preferred device.
  • Click Save.

Start Your Live Room Event:

  • Go to Calendar and select the timeslot for your upcoming event.
  • Find the video link there.
  • Click the link to start your Live Room event and welcome your audience.

What You Can Do in a Live Room:

  • Live chat with participants
  • Live stream to YouTube/Vimeo
  • Screen share to show your audience additional content
